I read the same verse in the Gospels and saw that Christ gave his mother to John.

No you didn't. Your are either lying about reading the scripture or you failed to read the entire passage, which is very hard to believe. Here it is.

Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son. "Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home. (John 19:25-27, NAB)

Clearly he gave them to each other. If you are going to claim to have looked something up, you might do us all a favor and, well, actually look it up and quote it accurately.

I believe I did look it up. What's the argument?

And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

Sounds to me as if Jesus was simply providing care for his widow mother. It's really not all that complicated.
