"In her writings, Mme. Giguère described visions and messages she received from God, explaining that Mary, the mother of Jesus, is fully divine, and also that, as her modern incarnation, so is Mme. Giguère. Rather than the traditional Catholic Trinity - in which God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are each fully divine and part of a three-part deity - the Army of Mary now speaks of a "quinternity," including Mary and Mme. Giguère."

As B-Chan's graphic of the guy rubbing his furrowed brow in exasperation would put it: "Lieber Gott, nicht diese Scheisse schon wieder!" These people simply are not Catholic, despite some of the external trappings that haven't fallen by the wayside just yet. Let it never be said by certain FR posters that the Catholic Church has countenanced the elevation of Mary to the Godhead. This group's excommunication demonstates that such allegations are completely false, and that the Vatican's opinion of such folks is that they are indeed five cans short of a six-pack.

But now we know where a lot of non-Catholics get their idea of the Catholic Church from.
