He’s more than that, MD. Notice how he is surrounded by a full body halo in the icon. Its one of only two or three examples of this that I am aware of other than of Christ. +Symeon is one of three Eastern saints named “The Theologian”, +John the Apostle, +Gregory Nazianzen and +Symeon the New Theologian.
