INTERCESSION OVER BREAKING THE DEMONIC STRONGHOLDS OF THE MIND
PRE-PRAYER MEETING 4/14/07
Tonight at church I heard the words, distraction and divided mind.
CONFIRMATION: Then later one of our intercessors declared this scripture:
2 Cor 10:5 NKJV
... bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ...
TONGUES BREAKTHROUGH THE MYRIAD OF THOUGHTS:
Later there was a rising up of warrior tongues coming from the end of the room. I felt a rush of the Spirit of God sweep through the room from their burst of tongues and then I saw all these tiny scissors in rapid and blurring cutting motions. It was impressed upon me that there was a lattice work of threads, ropes and vines and the scissors were located in the holes of the lattice and they were rapidly cutting through these invisible cords.
I felt that each of these scissors were the instruments of our individual ministering angels and they were uniting to cut the myriad of distractions and divided minds. My heart was filled with faith and I felt this could even extend to those who were under the influence of ADD.
CONFIRMATION: Later when we were still before the Lord and went around the room to share, pastor said that the Word he had received was to CUT IT!! It was a command from the Lord.
ANOTHER INTERCESSOR quoted the following scripture during share time.
Rom 12:2 NKJV
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
CONFIRMATION: That was confirmed to me, because another word I heard His voice say during our prayers was the phrase, "It's a reasonable sacrifice." I had no idea what He meant when I heard that. But now in this context of our thinking, I feel the Lord is saying to present our minds to Him, which is a logical, rational choice over our thinking.
1 Cor 2:14-16 NKJV
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
PRAYER: Lord we yield to Your call upon our thought life, our brains, our minds. We confess and repent of our negative thinking that does not line up with Your Word and Your heart for us. We repent of dwelling on the things of the world and not disciplining our own selves to turn away and turn off thoughts that grieve You.
We bind the demonic spirits of distraction and divided mind and command them to be broken off us in the Name of Jesus. We lay hands upon our minds and command all demonic strongholds to be removed. We declare the blood of Jesus to flow in and through our brains that they will be redeemed and renewed according to the Word of God.
We ask that You grant us the mind of Christ and restore to us that which has been stolen. We ask that You will transform us by the renewing of our minds. in the Name of Jesus we ask. Amen.
Eph 4:23-24 NKJV
...and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Polytheism.
Distraction has frequently been a tool of the Adversary.
If a believer remains obedient through faith in Christ, it also seems prevalent for those about him/her (as secondary points of attack) to be influenced by demonic influence or possession to further attempt to preoccupy / distract / interrupt the believer from being at the proper place and time to perform God’s Will by His Plan.
God reveals Himself in three different persons, but one God.
The revelation of God the Father is understood by us discernibly from God the Holy Spirit, or from the incarnation of God as God the Son, yet He is but one God.
Certainly daily feeding on; meditating on, memorizing The Word is a key aspect of the renewing of our minds.
Holy Spirit is the key OPERANT Force, however in all aspects of the renewing of our mind—including the reading, meditating on and the benefits of memorizing.
imho.
I have no idea where your polytheism comment is coming from.
Genesis 1 says . . .
Let US make man in OUR image.
And the Trinity is Plenty Biblical, to me.
But this thread is not to argue or debate over THAT issue, for sure.
Good insightful points.
Thanks.
I didn't know God talked to himself. :-)
I suspect there’s a host of things you . . . didn’t know and still don’t.
God talking with all life before mankind; Here, or throughout the universe.... Or to whatever heavenly host He's previously devised.
"If I knew God I'd be Him."
I have no idea where your polytheism comment is coming from.
From the article:
We bind the demonic spirits....
"Demonic" spirits connote those of independent action. Thus, "Too many notes...."
Thus polythesism.
appears to be so extremely far divergent from my own . . .
as to have no common experience or vocabulary affording sufficient shared congruence
allowing for any meaningful dialogue much at all.
Sad, really.
It has seemed that way to me at times. I am relieved to hear others put it into words.
Okay.

Easier than going to school, I guess.
Can't argue with that.
I needed this today. Thank you for a timely post.

And the winner for non sequiter of the day is . . .
Scripture says to study to show ourselves approved . . .
Conventional schooling has nothing to do with learning from Holy Spirit and the school of hard knocks . . .
that God . . . The Mind of Christ extended to us . . .
is infinitely better than our own feeble cogitations.
And that whenever we presume that we know better, a great gaping gulf of a rather dangerous hazard has opened up right before us . . .
It is our task to walk closely, in COMM-UNION WITH GOD, growing in our appropriating The Mind of Christ as He extends such to us.
Haven’t done persistently good at that . . . but often enough . . . enough of that to know that there’s a world of difference . . .
between that and
leaning to our own understanding.
SCRIPTURE SAYS LEAND NOT unto our own understanding.
But, hey, God gives us choice . . .
If you are eager for the lessons that come with it . . . go ahead and lean unto your own understanding. But personally, I’d strongly advise against it with or without schooling.
True for all to varying degrees . . .
Thanks for your encouragement. I did feel an extra nudge to post it amidst busy-ness.
Certainly it’s a worthy, needful practice every day.
