I am touched by your post and am glad that you came on this thread to offer it.
I don't like the mans politics but Kris Kristofferson wrote a song that means a lot to me. It's called "Why Me." The last two lines are
"Try me LORD if you think there's a way I can try to repay all I've taken from you."
"Maybe LORD I can show someone else what I've been through myself on my way back to you."
