I think either the quran or hadith has him having a woman executed for killing a cat.
If your wondering if I took anything they said seriously, not really, but they seemed pretty big on hating dogs (probably think Mike Vick is a great guy), but they all acted like cats were holy or some crap.
Dogs are flat out evil in islam. Cats are a little more murky. You can not sell a cat or have one as a pet. See Mulsim vol III no. 3808 of the Hadith.
They said the same thing, but they way the said it implied that it was a capital offence (then again in islam, what isn't?) to own, sell, harm, injure, or look at funny, a cat.
I just thought it was bizarre.....they didn't think it was funny when I made a few jokes about some take out places serving cat meat.
For a second I thought one of them was going to call for a fatwah or something, they got ticked off about it.
