THANK you, sir!

I just spent an hour wrapping pieces of prosciutto around pieces of cantaloupe for the shindig we're having after evening Mass.

I was trying to persuade my 23 year old daughter that today the Dominican maidens come out of the hills and dance around the August Pole, and scatter flowers, zucchini, and polenta in the streets, but for some reason she didn't believe me.

VERITAS! Yay!

(I have GOT to develop some more conventional expressions of piety!) ....

Here's a fun site put up by a guy who joined the Church at our Parish a few years ago. Nice compendium of Dominic stuff.

What I like about the Dominican vision is the dialectic between ministry and prayer, the notion that both kinds of service to God feed, enable, and inform one another.

I still haven’t given up on the Dominicans. The Carmelites want me, but I think I can be traded to the OP’s for a player to be named later!
