I was about to Google “millipedes” but I am fearful of getting a picture of something creepy. Is that a sort of snake? I take it your parish was not “St. Patrick’s”?
St. Francis of Assisi :-). Millipedes are Southwestern/Mexican creepies, and they can get enormous - feet long - and apparently live for year and years.
It was awful ... the choir was screaming (including me!), and people were evacuating from the front rows, and Father Henke stomped one in those very practical cowboy boots, but the others had to be trapped and tossed out the door, just as if they were snakes.
