Yep, we’re all sinners. But like I said - - you guys profess to be so much more. You even have a modern day prophet to guide you to more truth. How come you’re not better off?
How about asking that of Jesus, who was there with the apostles, who frequently misunderstood him, and did things they shouldn’t have done. He even told them some of the things they would do: Three time shalt thou deny me...
Why would you expect fallible humans to do any better with a prophet now than Israel did back in the day. And actually, we do better, as we at least try to listen to them, and don’t kill them, unlike the people of Israel. Of course, that has happened here in the US, but it wasn’t us doing it.
For that matter, you’re professing to have so much more than we do. Why try to rile people? What does it win you? Love thy neighbor, as thyself. Turn the other cheek (not just once, either.) Aren’t these commandments we’ve received? I know they’re in the Bible I have. Not just the one I got from the Mormon church, either, but in the one I got when I attended the Baptist church. What are you doing with what you have? Besides trying to tear down what we think we have, I mean? Is that how Jesus would want you to behave? I don’t think so, but I can’t really answer that question for you. That will be between you and Him.
