Au contraire. They do mean something. They mean what God means them to mean, not what every Tom, Dick and David Koresh means them to mean.

It says nowhere in this passage about Pharaoh’s ultimate destunation. Why bring in this business about raising him up to rebel? What does that have to do with anything? Show me where it says that God has condemned Pharaoh to hell because God wants him there.
