Why, Christ says many times "This is my body and blood". Direct scripture. Duh. Where does He say?:
"the Eucharistic species remain wine and bread to our senses, however augmented. No laboratory experiment will discover the body, soul, and divinity of Christ in the wine. That is because the consecration changes the essence, but our senses and science can only deal with accidental perception."

Well, nowhere, but the transsubstantiation is a reasonable elaboration on the words of Christ at the Last Supper, and also in John 6 "my flesh is food indeed". The Apocalypse is the same as The Revelation of St. John, yes. I use
Douay for my quotes and so also for book titles.
