Galatians 3:1 You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified.

Galatians 3:2 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard?

Galatians 3:3 Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?

Galatians 3:4 Have you suffered so much for nothing—if it really was for nothing? 5Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard?

Was Paul admonishing the Galatians for not worshiping a cross? Kneeling before the cross and sacrificing unto it?

Well, not in so many words, and certainly not worhiping an empty cross as an idol, but we see from this passage that there was a crucifix (image of Christ crucified) that they failed to sufficiently meditate about, and that was foolish and even ruinous of them to do. If the prohibition of making graven images were in effect in Christendom, as you insinuate, then St. Paul preached violating the Commandments of Christ.

and sacrificing unto it

What's that?
