“Kecharitomene” in Luke 1:28 Is a change of name. The Change of name in Scripture describes the essence of who a person is. Mary is FULL of Perfection, full of Grace. It is Who Mary is-She is Full of Grace full of perfection.

Being saved does not mean a person has been full of grace throughout their life, and it is NOT an individual name change in the Scripture.

Perhaps you should change your name from Blue Duncan to “Saved” and proclaim yourself equal to the Blessed Mother-;)

Good Night!

““Kecharitomene” in Luke 1:28 Is a change of name.”

That’s absurd. It is a description of what God had done in blessing her. She is referred to as Mary throughout the Gospels. When God changed Abrams name (Gen. 17:5) he became Abraham thereafter. When God changed Sarai’s (Gen. 17:15) name she became Sarah thereafter. When God changed Jacob’s name (Gen. 35:19) he became Israel thereafter. When Jesus changed Simon’s name (John 1:42, Matt. 16:18)he became Peter thereafter, except when he was in trouble.

Only God changes the names and unlike Abraham, Jacob and Israel, God did not speak to Mary, an angel announced the accomplished fact of her election.
