“Which denomination do you think comes closest to getting it right?”
What is interesting in the early church is that there were at least three denominations, Orthodox Jews meeting in the temple, Grecian Jews meeting in the synagogue and the Gentile church. They each had their own liturgy and religious protocols. They each had their own pastors and evangelists. In fact, in the church at Corinth, they had the potential for three denominations in the same church; Peter, Apollos and Paul. That’s why Paul says in 1 Cor. 14:26-33, that if one has a prophecy (teaching not just by the professionals) let him teach that all may learn. The Holy Spirit gives gifts to severally as He wills and His word is to be shared by all for the edification of all.
canard ping!
that does not make them denominations their faith was one.
What makes you think that they are three denominations rather than three particular Churches within one Catholic Church?
They each had their own liturgy and religious protocols.
That is somewhat misleading. The liturgies in all the apostolic Churches were remarkably similar.
