If there were no “gay” priests there would be very few child molesting problems in the church. They Boy Scouts did it right.
When I went to High School in Michigan in the early 1990s there was a flamboyantly gay teacher at the school: Think Paul Lind. I was absolutely shocked to discover a couple of years ago that he is now a Catholic priest.
Sex abuse was still in the closet 30 years ago, most kids weren't taught to be aware of it either and when it happened, a lot of them were too embarrassed to tell anyone. It was a different climate.
