Why is religion the most important study? Because God expects you to know what He has taught and what He wants you to do in this life.

I tell my kids that you can't love what you don't know. So to love God, we have to know Him as best we can.

I find that people like the idea of loving God, but aren't very fond of learning about God. I ascribe this to simple laziness --poor catechesis notwithstanding.
