Only those who have asked the Lord Jesus Christ into their lives to be their Lord and Saviour are Christians.

So you are under the misconception that this cannot apply to the Roman Catholics?

Not at all. If Catholics or any person receives Christ into their lives they are saved and are Christians. What I’m saying is that just being a Catholic does not mean you ARE a Christian. It takes more than being a good catholic to be a believing, committed Christian. Christ has to be at the center of our lives, no one else, just HIM. Many people seem to think the church will save them, or baptism, or other rites. Only CHRIST has that ability, through the Holy Spirit.
