Christ alone is the head of His Church, not the "bishop of Rome" or any such pretender.

Jesus gave the keys of the kingdom of David to Peter alone. The keys represent the office of the vice-regent of the Davidic kingdom, as we see in Isaih 22. There was only one king of the House of David, and only one vice-regent. The vice regent actually wore a pouch around his neck which contained keys, which symbolized his office.

Isaiah 22:20-22

"In that day I will summon my servant, Eliakim son of Hilkiah. I will clothe him with your robe and fasten your sash around him and hand your authority over to him. He will be a father to those who live in Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.

Jesus is the eternal King of the House of David, and is "the power behind the keys."

Revelation 3:7

"To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open."

Jesus gives the keys of the eternal Davidic kingdom to Peter alone.

Matthew 16:18-19

"And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

Jesus gave the keys of the kingdom of David to Peter alone.

Peter alone or Peter and his successors? You cannot have it both ways. If you are going to argue from the Scripture you need to actually pay attention to the Scripture says.

If you argue Peter and his successors, then you are in trouble, biblically speaking, since that error cannot be supported. You are back to your tradition as the supreme judge of all theology.

When you find "Sola Scriptura" in the Bible, let me know

Check out Ps.138:2, 'thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name'

God places His words above His own name!

In other words, nothing is equal to God's words-espically man-made traditions (Mk.7:7)

Now where does the Bible ever use the word 'Catholic'?
