Sucker’s bet in some parishes.
We just went “Up North” last week. We attended a parish that pulls the kids for “Children’s Liturgy of the Word” The whole parish gave the “Nazi salute” to “bless” the kids before they left. Yikes!
My girls, who never have this “ministry” at home, wanted to go. I said okay. UNTIL I realized that they were not coming back for the offertory! I had to run and get them before they missed Holy Mass!
I said no more “Children’s Liturgy of the Word”!
