You might want to re-think this declaration of belief.

I agree with EW on this one because you cannot legislate morality.

All you end up with is laws that can't be enforced.

people must choose to be moral, we should start teaching the Bible in the Schools again, and bring the country back to it's roots and Abolishing a federal school system is the first step to doing it.

I have wondered what the LDS official position is on the Harry Potter movies?

No official position that I know of... However, I have my Deathly hallows preordered... And will see the new movie as soon as I can get everything organized. (Kids, wife, life you know...)

Oh my....that typo is causing my mother to cringe even though she doesn't know it exists....it sending shock waves through the atmosphere direct to her.

Just don't say "irregardless", it's not a word, you also cannot reiterate since iterate means to repeat and you can only continue to iterate, not re-repeat. (Things that make you go GRRRR)

Sushi? good for you? Mercury, lead and botulism
I take the seaweed for the minerals but tastes good? How? There are no saturated fats.(where real flavor comes from)

Are you one of those that are cheered when movie theaters stopped using coconut and palm oils on the popcorn?

Maybe just maybe I was wrong about you.

I’d never heard that about iterate, but regardless, I did know about irregardless. Just goes to show, you learn something new everyday (if you are willing.)

Thanks.

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

My apologies to anyone whom I may have offended.

RM, if you would be so kind please PM me and tell me what I did so I will not do it again, be blunt, thanks.

BTW my point in said Post was that those Gods are only Gods over their creations, not our God which is in complete agreement with the commandment that we have no other Gods before our creator.

DU, please point me to the LDS scriptural source for that statement, please? I have not seen it put in that way (Gods over their creations) before, and I'm pretty sure I never HEARD it either. Enosh has asked for Biblical reference, but I'm curious about the LDS reference.

CC have you heard that before?

Oh, crap, a typo:

12. I believe recycling is a water of money and resources - we’re not running out of trees, we’re not running out of landfills, we’re not running out of resources.

12. I believe recycling is a WASTE of money and resources - we’re not running out of trees, we’re not running out of landfills, we’re not running out of resources.

Nice to speak to you directly DelphiUser. It was fun getting smacked from all sides the other day - just par for the course. At least now, greater civility seems to have returned, thanks in large part to the Moderator.

I do get annoyed when people who should know better insist we Mormons are not Christians, and coming from former Mormons makes this especially grating. After innumerable exchanges, I’ve lost all patience for it.

From an 'ancient' commercial "Parts of the Pine Tree are edible." I wonder if you had just cook them in, would you have gotten kudos for your 'new dish being served'? LOL

I doubt it! When we were kids we used to pick the rosin drippings off the pines and chew it like gum...if the chicken tasted as bad as the "gum" UG would have had BIG pine cones lobbed at her!

I respectfully disagree with EW and you.

Legislation based upon morality is the foundation of western civilization. If you truly agree with EW, you favor de-criminalizing all laws based upon a moral code for human conduct. As I stated in post 757, “If your position were adopted, laws prohibiting theft, fraud, murder, bribery, perjury, embezzlement, forgery, domestic abuse, indecent exposure, and a myriad of other morally based crimes would be repealed because they are based on ‘a system of moral conduct.’”

Please tell me that isn’t what you really want.

You could even be delphi User and Edward Watson at the same time, all the while being Tommy Monson in real life.

How did you know?

Time to get a new handle, um handles.

We are not each other, is that clear?

We reject any infrence that we are in agreement on all things.

We will not be amused by jokes about split personalities.

(do I need a humor tag?)

Without going back and reading the context of DU’s quote, I will say that yes I have heard that the gods of Mormonism rule over worlds (universes) of their own creation.

When I was LDS I had briefly heard of the string theory and parallel universes, so I assumed that some of the humans that had become exalted to godhood were now ruling over parallel universes in a different space continuum or time continuum.

See, that didn't hurt did it?

BTW, civil discussions work both ways...just a little tip from a "fruity""mormon assaulter". ;)

I try, but I too am a sinner, Sigh, Good thing Jesus died for my sins as a poster too, or I'd be in deep trouble.

BTW, the elders Quorum President just called, they heard I was being nice to an Anti (it's a joke people)
