Regardless of the idiotic antics and weird behavior of several of our bishops and priests - from the gay NH bishop and the Presiding Bishop and others who fully support his appointment, to the real weirdo who says she's a priest as well as a Muslim, we nonetheless have many priests and Bishops who are conservative and traditional.
But I'll never understand why my church is apparently on a mission to self-destruct. All I know is that the day I go to liturgy and find a gay priest offering me communion is the day I walk out and go Catholic. Note that I'm not a "homophobe," whatever that is, because neither would I accept communion from a priest who is a murderer or a bank robber.
I probably should still give Ilker, Schofield and Duncan the benefit of the doubt, but they haven't exactly been willing to sacrifice for the good yet.
