Y'all know the rules.
No spittin', kickin', gougin', cussin', listin', or disobeying the grand poobah of the neeners, the Lord High Protector, yada, yada, rights and privileges apertaining thereunto.
Special dispensations, indulgences, awards granted solely at the whim of the Lord High Protector.
Absolutely NO lists!

you never invite me to these things because you know I’ll read the Hallmark cards and and ask questions that the fathers would rather not talk about in public

We could tell you, but then we’d have to...well...you know...
To: 1000 silverlings
You are officially invited.
Since there is no “list” and I do things from memory and I have a limited memory and I don’t type too fast either and I’m not very smart in the first place....
That’s a breathless running start on an apology without any teeth to it.
(How’s it sound?)

When I was little my grandfather asked me how old I was. I said, “Five.” He said, “When I was your age, I was six.”

According to the Urban Dictionary dot com:
neener
(knee-nuhr) interj. An interjection typically used to taunt, ridicule, or boast.
"No thanks to you, but I was able to score the last tickets to the show tonight, and you're not going with me, so neener!"
To: xzins
OK I'll take it. I'll get you a gift at the drugstore, no peeking

I saw Wright when he was just starting out at the Ding Ho. When he first hit the stage, I didn’t get it. Within a few minutes I was beside myself laughing.

Hmmmm. How does this relate to the Religion threads? Maybe because the "neeners" whilst not always thusly name-ed have been part of the Religion forum since before there was a Religion forum.
Or something like that.

I accidentally shot my father-in-law while deer hunting. It was an honest mistake. I came out of the tent in the morning and thought I saw a deer in an orange vest making coffee.
