So how was it that the HoB could decide on it’s own not to consecrate ANY bishops for a while. Why didn’t they need the HoD or General Convention to do that?
By the way, I just went up on Susan Russell’s blog and left her the same note. There may be no answer for a while as she is going on vacation to Hawaii for a bit. Susan is/was (?) President of “Integrity”, the advocacy group for homosexual behavior in TEC.
You know, Susan’s blog, at www.inchatatime.blogspot.com, seems to be a pretty one-sided affair. Lots of self-congratulation and we-have-all-seen-the-true-light and aren’t-they-trogdolytes there. Now, you should never be anything but polite and reasonable when you post on a blog, but Susan has actually stated that she will approve any posting that is respectful regardless of the viewpoint. She’s put most of mine up, although at least once as a bad example, telling everyone how awful my viewpoint is instead of actually responding to me directly.
What I managed to drop during editing was that while you should always be polite and reasonable on a blog, I encourage people to go pay Susan a visit at her blog and express your opinion.
The Executive Council also said they decline to participate in the primates’ plan to develop a “pastoral scheme” where Anglican leaders outside The Episcopal Church would oversee conservative American dioceses and those unable to accept the authority of the Episcopal Presiding Bishop, Katharine Jefferts Schori.
