If Jesus wanted to teach solely by scripture, He would have written on something more lasting than sand. That said, if the Catholic Church did not value the Bible, she would not have canonized it nor depicted in it picture and stone long before the printing press.

Regarding Mary. She was the mother of Jesus, the Word made flesh, the second person of the Trinity. Jesus was either God or not, I believe He was. Mary was the mother of the second person of the Trinity.

How silly

Jesus always quoted from Scripture as did the apostles. The scriptures are written by God and they represent innerently the teachings and the doctrine of Christ. He did not have to sit down and do it, His spirit was sent for that
