I don’t want to sound mean but are your worshipping the Bible? Think about it and think what you have accused me and other Catholics of doing.

Tiki, the scriptures are the very word of God.

If God stood in front of you and stated talking to you what would your reaction be? Would you be attentive and listen to it? Would you take it seriously? Would you follow what He told you?

Protestants do not worship the bible, we do love it as a love letter from God for our protection and instruction, correction and our eternity.

There is an old saying, "a man is as good as his word" . God is as good as His,we take Him at His word.

I KNOW that and I also know that the Catholic Church through the discernment of the Holy Spirit put that Canon together for the good of all mankind and they knew what it meant and they have also passed on that wisdom.

If God came to you and told you to turn right would you reinterpret His word to mean to turn left?

To some who love God's Word and never weary of it:

Psalm 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Psalm 19:9

The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb .

19:11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward

1 Peter 1:23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Tiki, the scriptures are the very word of God.

I reread this and I don't happen to agree. The scriptures are the inspired word of God. He used men to write them. He spoke to them through the Holy Spirit. Check out the 1st chapter of John.
