They’re BACK! Really an annoying development every year. I wonder if Archbishop Flynn (who retires in a year) will continue to welcome them. Same with Cardinal Mahoney.

Sad. I pray that Christ's grace helps each sash wearer to see the true state of their soul. And I pray that those who judge these people as worse than them, because their sin is painted brightly on their sash, see that they are sinning like the Pharisee but their sin is socially accepted.

We all need confession. We all sin. Maybe this is a call for us to bring back the great Sacrament of Confession.

Lord help us in our confusion. Bring us to your heart and help us improve our world. Only through you can we love as we should.
