I had always viewed you as one of the most respectful of the Roman Catholic posters. I am no fan of Jean Calvin, but I hardly think that the “ not to mention” mention of a slander is very low indeed.

I clicked on the link. There is some even better stuff there. “Evangelicals and Catholics Together: A Post-Mortem” is particularly good in looking at the differences between evangelicals and Calvinists.
Exactly my point. It is “low”. And that is how many people - although not in those terms - have been treating Beckwith. People - I mean ministers and fellow professors - have been writing to Beckwith telling him he clearly cared nothing for the truth, that he must have abandoned his reason, that he might have an ulterior motive, that he may have simply play acted at being a Protestant, etc. The anti-Catholic bigotry runs that deep, and runs that wide.
