It’s working at it (the marriage) every day of your married life, isn’t it?

We heard Father Corapi on the radio yesterday saying just that. I like to summarize, "It's not just an adventure - it's a job!"

I’ll say it’s a job. I no longer expect my husband to make me happy or to give me any real companionship. I don’t share my deepest feelings with him. We’re mates but not soul mates. We’ve been married for almost 26 years and we have 6 children. We’ll never get divorced but our marriage hasn’t turned out the way that I thought it would.
