The LDS are Christians whether you acknowledge it or not has little effect.
Correct. God the Father does not also.
So the term, Celestial Bodies (plural) is inaccurate however you wish to define "body" in this use for the Divine.
Are you saying Jesus does NOT have a resurrected body?
I believe the term more often used is Glorified Body, but yes; even further, in Catholicism we believe in the presence of the risen Christ in the Eucharist.
The LDS are NOT Christians. But the issue is not what you “call” yourselves or what I think, the core issue is about the god you worship and truth. I am writing to you with deep concern for you if you are in the mormon cult.
Why should someone become a mormon? Please tell me how you would answer that question?
I worship as it states in the New Testament. The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. I pray as Jesus prays. I listen to the Holy Ghost as the Apostles did. I follow Jesus as Jesus asks us to do. I eagerly anticipate to be in the presence of Jesus Christ when he comes again to the Earth. The Sacraments of Jesus, the core of our Faith, which we with the utmost zeal and which we place the greatest focus on our weekly worship and each days of our lives reads like this:
O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it, that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him and keep his commandments which he has given them; that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.
O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this wine to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them; that they may witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.
Ah, so that's what you meant.
Yes, I suppose that is the argument. When someone says that Mormons are not Christians, most Mormons are mystified. We consider ourselves Christians, and cannot see why anyone else would say otherwise.
Personally, I like to specify what I mean by the adjective Christian, and explain why I believe it applies to me. To those who insist on differentiating, I suggest they call us "nontraditional Christians." (In jest, I once suggested "heretical Christians," but fortunately that never caught on!)
Either way, we will continue to call ourselves Christians. That does not mean we wish to align ourselves with any other group calling itself Christian. It simply reflects how we see ourselves.
In these post it is you that insist on calling us Mormon I am a Latter Day Saint.
You only show your contempt when you continue to refuse to cap a name!
Many like you come after the LDS with a self righteous attitiude!
Mormon is a nick name but not the proper name, becaues LDS are council not to be quarrelsome to maintain the spirit of the Lord.
It is not an easy topic to discuss with out others misunderstanding to be cordial towards one another.
To be cordial does not mean that the other side has to agree!
Bump and bookmarking.

How many times do you want this explained after so many same questions being asked over is starts to look like harassment!
In all sincerity!
The question from you folks comes off as sinister but the answer is always benign.
So I began to think it is to distube and created a buzz and not earnest in one request!
So many of the question purpose to the LDS as sinister are nothing more than to created distrust and has nothing the questioner in a acting in a good faith as a Christian would like to under stand.
This not nice it is not Christian to create sinister where there is none!
Those who read the scripture prayerfully are blessed with a clearer understanding of what is there.
Those who are acquainted with the scriptures but have not read it often over the years will not receive those blessing.
It is not enough to be acquainted with the word, it must become a part of one!
The eyes of understanding come from the Lord.
If you’re going to answer for the one to whom I posted, at least answer the question asked instead of resorting to your usual ridicule and condescension.
“Your argument is based on the flawed premise that our worship of Jesus Christ is in any way comparable to your proposed worship of FastCoyote. We DIDNT just make Him up.”
The Church of Fast Coyote also accepts and worships Jesus, who we belief is the missing hole in donuts.
Consequently, we are a Christian religion. And please don’t criticize the implications of Jesus as a donut hole, because that would make you a bigot. And certainly don’t bring up Fast Coyote’s belief that Jesus is a donut hole in the presidential race.
Sorry MHGinTN, you feel that way but that question is asked often its not like it is new!
FastCoyote Church of exit!:)
But are they misunderestimated?
You know the answer to that question many times over. The fact that you continue to ask it in different threads tends to confirm your slash-and-burn agenda. If you were looking for knowledge, understanding, common ground, etc., you would have moved on to different questions.
Why do you delight in tormenting others simply because you disagree with them? That’s a tactic our friends on the left use. You’re better than that, or at least, I’d like to think so.
I just spent the last 2 hours visiting with my friend who was raised Mormon, LDS, and is now a Christian who repented of her sins and follows Jesus as her Lord and Savior. I asked her if there is a difference between what she was taught in the Mormon church to what is taught in the Christian church.
She suggested that all of you visit the website link and listen to the testimony of several ex mormons and WHY they left the church.

Let me know what you think about the link.
I pray that God will reveal himself to you in truth.
You really are high on yourself!
