Lots of things are possible this side of Heaven and The Rapture, when there’s a persistent effort and will toward the good.
Unnecessarily TAKING offense can be just as unhealthy, unwarranted as unnecessarily deliberately causing offense.
It’s highly likely that some of us will continue to be fairly stern to even ruthless toward ideas, habits, customs within and without Proty contexts—especially ideas, habits, customs which we view as extremely spiritually hazardous vis a vis eternal life etc.
But we do NOT equate ideas, habits, customs to individuals. Distance, detachment, perspective TO SOME DEGREE is usually wise about a lot of things. I am NOT my clothes. So if some RC declares that all Proty mothers dress their children funny, I don’t feel compelled to take offense.
I can understand how some believers will consider an argument of praying to female goddesses as leading to considerations of doctrines on praying to God vs praying to other persons, be they saints, dead believers, familiar spirits, angels, or others. I don’t understand how that relates to thoughts of Band of Thebans or other homosexual discourse. IMHO, I don’t think I want to know how one’s thinking can traverse that type of twisted association.
