I wish, at this time, that I had something more useful to add. But, I don’t.

Actions speak louder than words. The repetition of “Magiscsterical” is enough to show me that the gratuitous inflicting of rhetorical pain is higher on the Protestant list than looking for common ground, and mockery stronger and more attractive than reason or comity.

I wish, at this time, that I had something more useful to add. But, I don’t.

Allow me to suggest something along the lines of, "Wow, The Lazarus argument realloy stinks. I don't know WHAT I was thinking of. Must be the tequila! But, tell me, What do you guys say to the Saul, Samuel and the Witch of Endor argument?"

You see, when friends cultivate rather than abuse trust, and they enter wholeheartedly and sincerely into the Logos, things come up which were not expected but what are really rewarding. It would be cool to discuss HOW (and IF) the resurrection of our Lord made a difference in the disposition of those who have fallen asleep (a)Bbfore the resurrection and (b)before the second coming.

But when the main deal is to come in and protect the lurkers from being caught up in the Catholic haughtiness and lies, nobody learns anything. You all seem to like it that way. (And not a few of us RCs seem to prefer anger and combat to working together.)

Let me remind you, this thread is about some weird women doing something very pathetic, silly, and possibly damning. It's a kind of self-inflicted idolatry, "Let us make God in our own image ..."

We COULD talk about, say, the difference between "male" and "masculine" and whether and how either of those words might apply to God and what if any difference it might make to women and men. That is a VERY deep question. Think about the "manliness" of Combat and the Theban Band. Sexuality and gender are inexhaustible. Why is the name of Gabriel undeniably masculine?

We could talk about how greater courtesy between men and women might have forestalled the dreadful advent of feminism and its attendant devastation on the lives of the unborn and the health of families and children.

BUT, gosh, NONE of those is as pressing as talking about how what a bunch of pseudo-Lutheran heretics do in San Francisco is REALLY the fault of the Catholics. That's GOT to be established and shown RIGHT AWAY and firmly - and all your homies need to be summoned when it gets hard for you to maintain your side of things.

And then I'm supposed to think that this isn't really an issue for you? Just a few Catholics, say between 10 million and 250 million, are leading people astray ....

Mind you, it would have been cool if the RCs hadn't brought up the whole Prot RC thing.

I guess I hoped for a while there there was a possibility of a new spirit, one which would involve cooperation and at least patience. But the addiction to perseverative (Tell me, Doc, why do I keep repeating "perseverative"?) mockery was just too strong, and the need to win greater than the need to lose to the Lord.

C'est assez triste, mais ca y est.
