Let's recap:
1) Cornwell did not recant nor retract his bestselling book, "Hitler's Pope." Instead, he stands by every fact in his book.
2) All American copies of "Hitler's Pope" possessed an accurately-labeled cover photo.
3) Cornwell is a practicing Roman Catholic and was when he wrote his book.
4) As Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pacelli signed the Concordat with Nazi German foreign minister Franz von Papen in 1933. As part of the Concordat, the Catholic Center Party (Zentrum), controlled by Pacelli's protege, Monsignor Ludwig Kaas, reversed its long-standing opposition to the Nazis and instead, voted to pass the Enabling Act which effectively handed over the German government to Hitler.
5) This deal between the Vatican and the Nazis was made a full EIGHT YEARS after Hilter had written "Mein Kampf" in which he clearly and explicitly detailed his future plans for the Jewish people.
6) Someone bought up the domain name, http://www.Hitler'sPope.com and used it to create an anti-Cornwell site which instead, supports "The Myth of Hilter's Pope."

You’ve corrected one of your lies. Congratulations. But so many remain. You should be ashamed of yourself.

They are stooges of a communist tyrant long since passed to hell.
It’s so sad.

For shame.
You have been corrected over and over again, yet you repeat the same slanders.
There is no hope for you. You are too invested in your view of the Church.

Aw look, he liked a website of the eminently fair Ian Paisley. Isn't that quaint? Let's look at the mission statement:
"expound the Bible, expose the Papacy, and to promote, defend and maintain Bible Protestantism in Europe and further afield."
Exposing the Papacy! It's a mission of love.

Let's do a historically correct recap:
- 30-Jan-1933 Hitler named Chancellor
- 27-Feb-1933 Reichstag Fire Decree Signed
- 23-Mar-1933 Enabling Act Signed
- Mar-Apr-1933 Massive Defections from the Catholic Center Party
- 07-Jul-1933 Weakened Catholic Center Party dissolves itself due to Gleichschaltung (and after all the other parties had been dissolved or banned)
- 20-Jul-1933 Reichskonkordat Signed.
Since the concordat was not agreed to until July (and negotiations didn't even begin until April), it is
impossible for the concordat to have resulted in the passing of the Enabling Act of March.
Your recap is seriously flawed.
To: Dr. Eckleburg
Citing www.ianpaisley.org when arguing with Catholics will really demonstrate to them that you don't hate the Catholic Church, don't hate Catholics as individuals, and are an eminently fair-minded and impartial seeker of truth.
You can get equally good material from www.chick.com.
not.

Your recap is seriously flawed. Nah, it's just the same creative use of chronology that allows David Dalin to try to influence the Vatican to recognize Israel in 1994 by publishing a book defending Pius XII in 2005.
I mean, what difference does the sequence of events make when you're on a mission to "expose the Papacy"?

I don’t suspect there will be a correction or admission of error - just more bluster and diversion.

I've had it with the poor behavior on this thread. It is now at zero tolerance.
Discuss the issues all you want, but do NOT make it personal.
After this warning, personal jabs on this thread will have consequences.

Thank you all for your stalwart efforts in support of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.
May God bless you.

Since the concordat was not agreed to until July (and negotiations didn't even begin until April), it is impossible for the concordat to have resulted in the passing of the Enabling Act of March. That is absolutely false. Pacelli wanted a Concordat with the previous chancellors of the Weimar Republic but they refused him. Pacelli found in Hitler a man who was willing to give him the concordat that he wanted but his predecessors had refused. Passage of the Enabling Act and dissolution of the Catholic Center Party were the preconditions for Hitler's signature on the Concordat, and Pacelli got his protege Monsignor Kass to make it happen so that the Concordat could happen.
Here is how one reviewer says it:
"In the 1930s this allegedly brilliant diplomat was outfoxed and outmanoeuvred by the Nazis at every turn. Obsessed with securing Concordat-style treaties with nation-states along the lines of the Lateran treaties signed with Mussolini in 1929, Pacelli destroyed the Catholic Centre Party in Germany, the only real opposition to Hitler after 1933 and the significant opposition to the Enabling Act of 1933 that gave the Führer dictatorial powers. Pacelli ordered the Centre Party to dissolve itself, as this was Hitler's condition for signing a Concordat. The Catholic Church in Germany was gagged by the Vatican, forbidden to comment on political affairs. Hitler was able to turn his attention to the Jews with his flank secured and could boast that the Concordat proved that Nazism was the standard-bearer of Christianity against atheistic communism."
It is history. Face it. Everybody who examines the facts knows it to be true.

Prove it.
History already has. Without the votes of Monsignor Kass's Catholic Center Party there would have been no Enabling Act ---

Let’s take the facts one at a time. Did the Enabling Acts pass with the votes of Monsignor Kass’s Catholic Center Party or not? Yes or No.
