I disagree. Many traditions now associated with easter are from Babylonian worship of Ishtar. Perhaps the Germanic goddess of dawn was taken from Ishtar as she was first in line for pagan worship.
In languages derived from Greek and Latin, it's called by a name which comes from the Hebrew pesach
The Hebrew Pasach is not easter - it is Passover. They are not the same.
And no, bunnies don't have anything to do with it.
You are correct - bunnies have nothing to do with Passover but they certainly have something to do with easter.
The information about "Eoestre" comes from Bede, but there is not mcuh else know about her. Take it as a local and north German name of unknown origin. Even in south Germany they originally did not use it.
As I pointed out, there are technical linguistic reasons why this is impossible.
You also might like to explain how the Babylonians made it from Mesopotamia to northern Germany, while neatly jumping over Greece and Italy.

Greeks this week celebrate Holy Pascha. Every liturgical book in Rome will use either Italian or Latin, and will refer to the feast using a word derived from "Pascha".
Deal with it. Your "pagan" theory blasphemes the Holy Sacrifice of Christ, and slanders your brothers and sisters.
