When Rosie ODonnell wasnt urging the Googling of the Gulf of Tonkin Incident on ABC's "The View" on Monday, she was boasting of her knowledge of the Old Testament, based on her weekly private Bible study. She told Elisabeth Hasselbeck she could whip her in Jeopardy on the Bible.
The topic was teaching the Bible in public schools, as discussed in newspapers (and in this weeks Time magazine cover story). Like many secular journalists, Barbara Walters asserted "I know nothing about the Bible, and I think most people dont." Joy Behar insisted "you cant teach it as nonfiction. You have to teach it as fiction in many ways." When challenged about how the Bible could be taught, Behar blurted out: "People masturbate anyway."

Some representative of the Catholic Faith?
Don't let your children, grandchildren or even your great aunt watch TV especially this show.
The View is a disgusting waste of time. These screaming meanies are looking for sensationalism.
However, I wouldn't doubt Barbara Walters knows nothing about the Bible, and am not surprised that Rosie O'Donnell knows the Old Testiment. As for that Joy woman suggesting it be taught as fiction, well her day of reckoning will come.
"They can't see beyond their elite social bubble boundaries far enough to understand that their corner of the universe is an isolated anomaly when compared the the rest of this country."
Hey! That was a great line. Gotta save it for use later. Sometimes I impress even me. Pass it around.
There is a BIG difference between knowledge of the Bible and living its tenets.
Bad mental image alert!!!!
Yes it was. May I plagiarize it for a few Web sites I know? LOL
Elisabeth Hasselbeck went to Boston College, a Jesuit college which is quasi-Catholic...
Hey Rosie..I know you said you have been studying the old testament for over 4 years, maybe you should move on to the New Testament to see what this Jesus guy is all about.
I pray that God will open her eyes and heart to the truth!
I pray that Barbara Walters actually picks up a bible and reads it. Oh....and that Joy gal, and pray tell give that Elizabeth a voice. I'm not sure she is a real christian or just one of those "religious, do gooders". Wow, how about if all of them have John MacArthur on as guest. If they did that I definetly would watch that show!
To the media girls the midwest is just fly over states and do not exists or really count in the grand scheme of things.
My God, that would be great...if the sparks were flying when Ann Coulter or Sean Hannity were on that show MacArthur would throw these dopey chicks for a lope.
I can see it now......this may actually be the ONLY time we could get Rosie to shut up!

Plagerize away. Whatever it takes to advance truth and justice.
I challenge Joy Behar to insist "you cant teach the Koran as nonfiction. You have to teach it as fiction in many ways."
