You are Chalcedon compliant. Congratulations, you're not a heretic. You believe that Jesus is truly God and truly man and like us in every respect, apart from sin. Officially approved in 451.

Did not care for the way some of the questions were worded...very inprecisely. But then again, maybe that's the point.

I think it's helpful to test yourself from time-to-time. I know you're not a heretic. ;-)

Some of the questions were written kind of shaky, but I am happy to see how little of the heretic was in my score!

So, like, I read the Bible and believe it, but I don't even know what 75% of these terms mean. I thought some of the questions were silly. I thought it was clear that God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit were all facets of God, but that we, as humans, cannot fully comprehend the nature of their relationship. "For now, we see in a glass darkly, but then face to face, and we will fully know, as we are fully known."

At the Council of Chalcedon, the Council announced:

Following the holy Fathers, we unanimously teach and confess one and the same Son, our Lord Jesus Christ: the same perfect in divinity and perfect in humanity, the same truly God and truly man, composed of rational soul and body; consubstantial with the Father as to his divinity and consubstantial with us as to his humanity; "like us in all things but sin." He was begotten from the Father before all ages as to his divinity and in these last days, for us and for our salvation, was born as to his humanity of the virgin Mary.

We confess that one and the same Christ, Lord, and only-begotten Son, is to be acknowledged in two natures without confusion, change, division, or separation. The distinction between natures was never abolished by their union, but rather the character proper to each of the two natures was preserved as they came together in one person (prosopon) and one hypostasis.
(very slightly edited)

___

In summary, it says if you scored Chalcedon compliant, you believe Jesus is the Son of God and the son of Mary, both fully human and fully divine at the same time.

Not only that, but you believe he was born that way, not adopted by the Father at some point during his life.

I'm also a Protestant, which I reckon makes me heretic according to Catholic teaching.

Please forward your height, weight, and dress size to Rome immediately. It helps the Pope decide how much firwewood will be needed to cure your heresy.

On the other hand, if you look like a promising convert, and like to row, the RCs may be able to use you in the galleys.

I think I must be a bad Catholic. I was having a hard time wrapping my head around some of the questions. I will blame it on the switch to daylight savings time..yeah, I'm sure that's why I missed some of them.

I took it twice trying to figure out the questions, first time came in as an Adoptionist, second time came in as an Arianism person. I did learn something from this test. I may take it again later but for now I'll take my place among the vampires and witches.
