I don’t know many, if any, Christians who think they’re personally infallible. The HS would never tell us anything that’s not backed up by scripture and we do have to be very careful how we interpret the scripture, for sure. I’m not sure any body of believers agrees with all of what the Word says. We all differ and churches have doctrines that differ from one another. It’s sure difficult, as anyone who’s been on these threads knows, to convince the ‘other guy’ of truth. My biggest concern has always been the salvation of people from churches that seem to put doctrine ahead of Christ. HE is first and foremost. Mary, the Saints, even St. Paul or the disciples cannot come before Christ and His Word to us through scripture. We’re not going to make it on our own without putting our faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone. HE is the way, the truth and the light.

Amen to the philosophy that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is the only Way. Via, the early Christians called it.

But, I must differ from you in that I have seen too many post here that think that they are infallible. The Why No One Should Be A Catholic thread, for example.

The nice thing about us is that nothing we put into our doctrine is against the Bible; but, being authorized as the hands and feet of Him on Earth, we can do, and have done things to promote His Will. A bunch of fallible men. It is humbling beyond all description.

I kneel in prayer every single day. The pseudo Popes don’t. I recall the sacrifice that Jesus made on the Cross every single day. The pseudo Popes don’t. I submit myself to the will of the Church of Christ every single day. The pseudo Popes don’t.

They don’t follow the Bible; only certain selected passages. They don’t follow the will of God; they only mouth it in their pride and arrogance. They don’t follow the main principles of the Gospel; they delve in the corners and mix unrelated passage with passage until they have what they deem justification for their heresies and apostacies.

Mary was given to us all by Jesus on the Cross moments before He died. Mother, behold your son; son, behold your Mother. The only other interpretation is that James is Jesus’ physical brother. You must make one interpretation or the other. There are no others.

Via. Vivat Jesus.

Mark
