John 19:26-27. From the Douay.......

When Jesus therefore had seen his mother and the disciple standing whom he loved, he saith to his mother: Woman, behold thy son. After that, he saith to the disciple: Behold thy mother. And from that hour, the disciple took her to his own.

This verse simply says Our Lord gave the responsibility for the care of his mother to his first cousin, John....son of Salome and Zebedee. Salome was Mary's sister. Jesus did not want to give to his own flesh and blood brothers this task as their family relationship.....at the time, was on very shaky ground. [John 7:1-5] Since Joseph was already dead the next closest relative would be a first cousin....if you were presently ignoring your brothers.

Where does it say I'm to call Mary my mother?

You don't get this, do you? Where in the Ten Commandments did it say, "Diego1618, thou shalt not steal?"

John 19:26-27
26 When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold, your son!"
27 Then He said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her into his own household.
