When a Catholic opens the Bible they will not find the Mass. They will not find a crucifix used by the New Testament Church. They will not find a Catholic style altar at all. Does he mean like this?
Surely, no Protestant would have this in their church!

That's all any Christian needs. Only if you actually go ahead and do what it says. Proclaiming your allegiance to, and reliance on, the Bible are just empty words unless you obey what it says.
Don't you agree?
For example, Hebrews 13:17 is God-breathed and authoritative, and it commands obedience to human religious leadership.
What does 2 Timothy 2:2 say?
Tell us, what God-appointed human church leader do you obey? (Hint: if you picked him or her, and you think you're free to walk away from him or her when you want to, that's not "God-appointed". That's "nmh-appointed".)

hey there, I think stories of misbehaving children is very appropriate to this thread. So I'm giving you a big, fat PBTHHHHHH! to your frivolous description.
BTW, very hard to type while toddler is sprawled in lap, kicking your arms, or laying on the keyboard.

This has all the makings of an "undead thread."
Maybe you'd be so kind as to post some of your favorite recipes (although leave out the lentil ones, please)? The only thing I know how to make is Jell-o and Spam and eggs.

"Yet Ignatius of Antioch describes himself as the "bishop of the Catholic Church in Syria" in 107 AD. Go figure...".
While I am on record as dismissing the entire thread subject as not worthy of serious discussion I cannot let your "proof" of Ignatius and his reference to the Catholic Church pass without comment.
There is no clear consensus as to the authenticity of any of the "Ignatius Letters". Even if the one in question is for real the phrase used by Ignatius "he katholike ekklesia" is an adjective not a proper noun. The big "C" Catholic ia a later editorial change intended to change the entire meaning of the letter. There was no entity known as the "Catholic Church" for hundreds of years.
You can't defeat a false argument with a false argument of your own.

Are you allowed to say "midgets"? If I had said "little people" you might have mistakenly assumed I was talking about your gaggle of children!
