Wow! Did you know what was causing the back pain or was the gallbladder thing a complete surprise? I've had the backpain since my daugter was a baby(she's six now), but I thought it was just from holding her on that side.
To: Ditter
Thanks, Ditter. You seem to be reporting what everyone else has. I'm ready to get this done--I just need to get over the strep first! The hardest part is going to be keeping my 3 yr old off of me. He's such a physical little boy, always jumping and running!
To: Aggie Mama
Yes the 3 year old could cause trouble. At about day #4 I was in bed watching TV, feeling absolutely NO pain. I forgot and raised up too fast and must have pulled a stitch loose. WOW! I was back to day #1 with the soreness. Be careful and move slowly.

The gall bladder problem was found in August when I had my yearly physical. Of course the steroid shots helped with the pain. However, the pain always came back after the medication wore off. I have had surgery on my back twice. They had to put a rod in my lower back the second time. We thought that was causing the pain is the reason for the shots.

Just wanted to let all of you wonderful people know that I go in this Friday morning for my surgery. I've been washing my hands like crazy and spraying everything with Lysol so my kids don't bring in any more germs! LOL =)
Everyone keeps telling me how much better I'm going to feel once I have the surgery done, so I am definitely looking forward to no more back pain/nausea/etc...
I'll ping you all with an update when I get back Friday afternoon from the outpatient place. So keep the prayers coming my way whenever you have a free moment. =) Thank you so very much.
To: Aggie Mama
Okay..thanks for letting us know.
I will pray hard on Friday..and keep you in my thoughts all day.
You will be so glad you had this done... but, I know it is still scary.
I am looking forward to your "all better" post!!!

Absolutely sending up prayers.
Had the same surgery except I was in the hospital as it was emergency surgery -- never knew I had a gallbladder problem until the pain struck and had to go emergency. Next day it was removed and went home that evening. Never had any more problems.
Will be thinking about her on Friday and sending up prayers! Keep us posted!
