Just a suggestion to you to perhaps pray this prayer everyday and you will feel better.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into hell.

The third day He arose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the One Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Amen.

***If you would read the Bible it does say that the Catholic Religion is the one true religion***

It says no such thing, and if you believe that, if you are counting on a man made institution for your salvation, I fear for your soul.

a. That is not a prayer, but a creed.

b. I affirm that creed, without the capital c in catholic.

c. I feel just fine, for I know in who my salvation rests.
c.1. And it's not in a man in Rome or the institution that he lords over.

d. I pray our Lord's prayer.

We read the Lord's Prayer too. Why don't you have the creed with a capital C? I mean it is just a type of religion. I do believe it is a proper noun. Anyway I hope both of us end up in Heaven.

Man made????? Excuse me but God annointed Peter as the first Pope to begin the Catholic Church. I am sorry but can I ask what religion you are?

little c makes the distinction between Rome and the church universal.

The same guy who Christ called Satan? Sorry, but to say Peter was made the first Pope amounts to the torturing of Scripture.

***I am sorry but can I ask what religion you are?***

My "religion" is Christian as seen in 1 Peter 4:16 and Acts 11:26.

And abortion is legal on demand for any or no reason in a country that's had Protestants control the Presidency about 99% of the time. And a Baptist was impeached for among other reasons, sexual relations with a 21 year old and perjury. Let's not forget slavery or even the Jim Crow south, where our Protestant brethren thougt vigilante lynching of blacks was a suitable form of justice.

Do you really want to get into tit-for-tat?

So you wish to see persecution of Catholics? I'm sure the Lord would be proud of you.

Religion Mod, I expect nothing to be done as always since it's Catholics being poked at, but just thought you needed to see this.

The same guy who Christ called Satan??? You must have a different version of the Bible than I do. I think you must use that King James Version. The author who was human wrote the Bible. Not very convincing.

So another words you do not practice your faith. You are in some sort of grouping? I don't get that. You must have some kind of following. Are you one of those born agains???? I wouldn't mind that group because you can sin forever and then just get Baptized at 90 and be ready for Heaven. No penence. Nice life. If you are one than really I hope you understand what it is about.

Keep reading your history, and you'll find the Vatican sided iwith the South.

lol. Look I was raised Catholic and have been my entire 37 years. I don't look kindly on those that put the religion down that is all (I know you didn't, but some have).

***So another words you do not practice your faith.***

Now just how do you arrive at that false accusation?

You asked me my religion, not my denomination. There is a
huge difference.

***Are you one of those born agains?***

I'm not sure what you mean "born agains," though I suspect it is less than complementary.

***wouldn't mind that group because you can sin forever and then just get Baptized at 90 and be ready for Heaven. No penence.***

Again, I think you are hurling false accusations. You asked a narrowly focused question, I answered. How you can formulate these knee jerk accusations is beyond me.

Unless you want to have an honest, open discussion without those attacking me, please don't ping me again

This is a particularly sensitive subject, so everyone remember the guideline:

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal!

Let's not forget slavery or even the Jim Crow south, where our Protestant brethren thougt vigilante lynching of blacks was a suitable form of justice.

I assume then that south Louisiana, where Catholics have long been a majority, had no slavery, no segregation, and no lynchings. It must also be true that the Irish draft rioters who lynched blacks in New York City in 1863 were all Orangemen. Additionally, the anti-black riots in Chicago in 1919 were entirely the result of racism by the local Swedish and German Lutherans. Ditto for lynchings of blacks in cities with large Catholic populations like Duluth, Minnesota, and Wilmington, Delaware.

Of course the Apostles Creed as taught by the Roman Catholic Church doesn't capatalize the "c" in catholic either. It is not now and never has been capatalized.

It appears this is the invention of napscoordinator.
