It will be war to the knife, and he will use every weapon at his disposal to punish and humiliate the members of this parish.
Georgia law is in the bishop's favor -- BUT the joker in the deck is what happens in Dar-Es-Salaam. Georgia law recognizes the hierarchical churches as being in charge of the property -- BUT, what if the local leadership of the hierarchical church has been thrown out of the Anglican Communion? Then it's no longer in charge, is it now?
Glad it's not MY church building and graveyard riding on whatever the Georgia Supreme Court happens to decide.
This is going to be very, very interesting. Peachtree City is a very conservative, very church-going community. I was amazed that any Episcopal church was able to flourish here, but obviously, the congregation has been uneasy about its affiliation with the sodomite leftists who run TEC. St. Andrew's has a lot of friends in the non-Episcopal community here because it runs a popular pre-school and kindergarten program. I think the locals will be a tad upset if the leftist bishop tries to padlock the doors of the place.
Isn't this bishop the THIS FAR BY GRACE author? A documentary of a bishop's "evolving" thinking on the gay-marriage issue?
And didn't he start off as a Lutheran musician-liturgy guy?
You've come a long way, (Rt. Rev.) Baby!
