The church where we are currently has a great children's program, but has been sitting on the fence theologically and waiting for Bishop Stanton's lead. Not having a rector for awhile has sheltered this particular church from the national goings on. After getting to know some of the people there, I think this whole situation is going to be very hard on the congregation. Even though there is now a new rector, I do not think the church membership is any more informed than before. The vestry probably is, but not the general church membership. And... nobody talks about it. It seems to be an off limits topic (and if you do talk about it you talk in whispers).

Before Christmas, I told my husband I would continue there until January. It's January. I think it's time to visit Christ Church.

One of the churches in Allen also left the ECUSA, I believe. So that's another one you can put on your list. http://www.faith-church.org/

Are you all high church or evangelical?
