"Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11.
I doubt that this type of persecution will be much remembered at this service.
I must say, however, that I wish the orthodox Anglicans could seem happier about the fact that the powers of the world are persecuting them. It's in the Bible!
After all, what's the point of being persecuted for something you deserve to be persecuted for? What honor is there in getting what you deserve? Only being persecuted unjustly gets you pennies in heaven.
