Thanks.
Not sure what's been deleted.
But, in my experience and from my perspective, a closed caucus is just the sort of place for us beginners in hearing such things from The Lord to check our 'feelings' 'sensings' etc. out--especially when they are so subtle as to be hard to tell between the still small voice of The Lord and our own mental noise.
Lots of far greater characters than I get upset at me calling myself a beginner. But I haven't seen anyone's track record very lofty in quality--particularly my own--though some think I've hit 80%. I don't.
I have gotten to the place that I'm almost averse to listening and especially to reporting because the whole field is such a mess. But such a passive or wimpy attitude doesn't seem right or fitting either--especially when one is talking about listening to God.
And certainly Scripture exhorts us to covet the best gifts; ask; receive; operate in etc. So, how can we say no.
So, I tend to be quiet unless something unusual and a bit startlingly different in my experience particularly catches my attention. Then, as I Cor 12-14 exhorts, I offer it to the congregation hereon in the closed caucus for discernment. Seems like a very Biblical thing to me.
My former AoG pastor is so fedup with churchianity and things AoG in particular he's sort of thrown the baby out with the bath though he technically still believes in such. And the rest of such folks in this town are on so much of their own hobby horses, I'd be reluctant at best to bounce anything off them.
So, I come here.
I think the diversity of still LIKE-MINDED FOLKS is very healthy hereon. And, the spread across the country is a good thing as well, I think--and around the world. Seems like an ideal combination of things to function as a Spirit-led sounding board; 'school' as it were in such things.
And am I glad you do! You've become a cherished friend, along with others like .30Carbine, DarthVader, etc. Love you all. Mxxx
