I concede and suspect that the Spirit of Truth does not reside in most Catholics...That would explain why God's word (the bible) takes the back seat to your religious tradition...
But for many of us outside of your religion, the Spirit of Truth resides within us and guides us...
Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
But do not fret...The Spirit of Truth is available to all Catholics as well...Call on Jesus...Confess to Jesus to being a sinner and confess to Jesus that you need a Savior and ask Jesus to save you...He will fill you with the Spirit of Truth...Praise God...And he will give you assurance of eternal salvation...
oh enlightened one! please tell me, if i sin, but believe in Jesus, have Faith in HIm, will i be saved?
Here's just a quick check. Does your copy of God's Word have these verses in it:
The New Testament is Tradition written down, but, it is not the fullness of Tradition, If it was, it would state that.
Absent the Catholic Church, you would not even have the NT with which to attack us :)
Please take a few minutes to draft an explanation as to how your particular community had a blessed thing to do with writing a single letter,a single word of the new Testament.
I concede and suspect that the Spirit of Truth does not reside in most Catholics
I see these types of posts by you quite often.I have a question for you. Since when have you had the abilty to judge another persons soul? Now I have a question for the religion moderator. Why is this comment not considered "making it personal" and why is Iscool allowed to make these comments? I for one take it very personal when someone I don't know continues to claim that I'm not Christian simply because I also happen to be Catholic.
*Actually, we keep the Bible in the glove compartment of the Popemobile. The glove compartment is in the front...
Did you know the Popemobile gets over eight miles per gallon?
The Popemobile is powered by the engine of Tradition and the pneuma of the Holy Ghost is its fuel.
And no, you can't take it for a spin. To be qualified to drive that, one must be in the Driver's Seat - a Office Divinely-Constituted by Jesus - and be able to read and correctly follow the Bible - the road map to Heaven. You don't have a license - to drive or interpret Scripture...and I am afraid you'd crash the Popemobile.
Sorry...
