Well, actually, the 10 Commandments are from the hand of man, too, unless the early manuscripts had "See Picture 2" with photos of the tablets.

My theory, at least of the Torah part of the bible, is that Genesis and part of Exodus are handed down from G-d to Moses, probably placed in his mind, and dictated to others, who passed it down through the generations, until, at some point, probably during the Babylonian Exile, it was committed to writing. The rest of the narratives were likewise passed down orally. Other parts begin, "and G-d said to Moses, tell the People of Israel........" Those were spoken by Moses, and again passed down though the ages, until committed to writing. Oh yeah, the Decalogue was carved in stone (twice) and given to Moses by G-d.
