Sorry . . . the orthodox Piskies and former Piskies are a bit touchy, having been attacked for years by the revisionists in every possible way -- personally, financially, religiously. It is the most cynical sort of character assassination in the name of religion that you can imagine. I'm just your average middle-aged churchgoing mom, who happens to believe in the Bible and the old tradition of the church, and my former rector called me backward and a homophobe and
evil. Imagine that, and think how you would feel.
The revisionist bishops are now threatening to take away church property from people whose great-grandparents are buried in the cemetery, and defrocking priests for no reason other than that they refuse to agree that "the Holy Spirit is doing a new thing."
We got out in 2003 -- fortunately all our folks are buried in a family cemetery and not anywhere near our former church.
