I nominate Robertson to take Warren's place this year as most pilloried famous Christian.

I looked all over his site but couldn't find that he'd addressed these charges about his comments.

If true, they are truly nutty.

Him talking of heaven reminds me of Huck Finn's reaction to Miss Watson's description. "I figgered it weren't no place for me if she was gonna be there."

He also claims on his Web site (http://www.cbn.com/communitypublic/shake.aspx) that he can leg-press 2,000 pounds (907 kg), well above the world record, thanks to an energy shake he promotes.

What a hunk! Be still my heart!

"if you get blown up or something, you go to heaven, that's the worst thing that will happen to you."

Going to heaven is the worst thing that could happen to you?

Ummm.. Pat. Wouldn't that be the 'best' thing that could happen to you?

We all have our cross to bear. Robertson and Falwell are our conservative counterparts of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Robertson's heart is in the right place, but far to often his head isn't. he needs to be sure that his mind is in gear before he puts his mouth in motion.

The evil people will come after this country and there's a possibility, not a possibility, a definite certainty, that chaos is going to rule," he added.

*Amen, Brother, Pat. The Democrats are in control of the Legislative Branch. But, that is not really a prediction. Everybody knows that

One only hopes that Pat is in cahoots with Lancelot Link and A.P.E. The Agency to Prevent Evil.

Times are tough...
