Being generous to the 1979 book, there is about 90-95 percent text overlap of the 1979 Rite I Holy Eucharist with the 1928 Order for Holy Communion. However, Rite I is heavily compromised by the fact that is in the contemporary "shape" and the theology of the 1979 book is also woefully "progressive." The BDW replaces the '79 Prayerbook's eucharistic prayers with those of the Novus Ordo, which from a Catholic standpoint is also dubious. The eucharistic prayers I mean.
