A church denomination that can only keep it's followers by monetary coercion has some serious problems.
Imagine being a member of a PCUSA church, and finding that half the churches in your denomination HATE the denomination but can't leave only because they will lose the buildings they all donated to build.
And imagine further finding out that your leadership makes decisions NOT based on their sound biblical judgment, but in order to appease the national leadership they disagree with in order to be allowed to keep their building.
